The Locates Hotkey is designed to save you time when shorting stocks. Previously, borrowing locates meant going through multiple clicks — opening a symbol, selecting the locate icon, choosing the size, confirming, and finally accepting the offer once the price per share appeared.
Now, with just a single hotkey, you can skip all that. The Locates Hotkey simplifies the process, giving you the speed and precision needed to act quickly in fast-moving markets.
How to Set It Up
Accessing the new feature is simple:
- Log in to your Hammer Pro account.
- Go to Settings / Hotkeys.
- Configure your Locates Hotkey by setting your preferred locate size and maximum price per share.
Key Features Explained
Preset Locate Settings: Save your default locate size and set your maximum price per share.
For example:
If you don’t want to pay more than $0.01 per share to borrow 100 shares, set MaxPricePerShare = 0.01 and LocateSize = 100.
Prompt for Confirmation:
Prefer to confirm before borrowing? Enable the Prompt option. If a locate offer exceeds your max price, you’ll see a quick pop-up asking whether to accept or decline.
5× Faster Execution:
No more unnecessary clicks. The Locate Hotkey lets you borrow locates up to five times faster than before – helping you stay agile and efficient when timing matters most.
